The Moon in the twelve signs
Your sun sign says who you are becoming. Your Moon says what you need in order to keep going.
The Moon (☽) is the most intimate point in a natal chart. Where the Sun describes what you build in daylight, the Moon describes what happens when nobody is watching: your reactions before you have thought about them, what soothes you, what wounds you, and what you need in order to feel safe. It is also the memory of the body and of childhood — the way you learned, very early, how to settle yourself.
Its sign says how that need expresses itself: a Moon in Aries settles by acting, a Moon in Cancer by coming home, a Moon in Aquarius by taking some distance. None is better than another; each brings an obvious strength and a lifetime's work. Which is why these twelve articles rank nothing. They describe.
One point of accuracy returns in every entry: the Moon never retrogrades. No natal Moon is ever marked Rx. What qualifies your placement is its house (the area of life where it plays out) and its aspects to the other planets — each article gives a section to both layers.
Not sure which Moon is yours? It changes sign roughly every two and a half days, so you need your date and your time of birth. Start with the moon sign guide, then come back here.
