To write a child's reading we need their date, time and place of birth — and, so that the guidance rings true, a few details about your family's day-to-day. That is intimate information. This page says exactly what we do with it, who has access to it, how long we keep it, and how you can ask us to erase it.
In one sentence: your data is used to write your reading, and for nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not trade it, and we add you to no mailing list unless you ask.
The data controller is Camille Marie Astrid Charles Viotte, sole trader established in Mexico, publisher of AstroLuma. Address: Calle Alejandro 3295, Col. Vallarta San Jorge, C.P. 44690, Guadalajara, Jalisco, México. RFC: VICA8805209U4. Full details in the terms of sale.
For any question about your data: hello@astroluma.app.
When you buy. Payment takes place entirely on Stripe's pages. Stripe collects your name, your email, your country and your card details. We receive from Stripe the payment confirmation, your email and the billing country — never your card number, which we see at no point and store nowhere.
When you fill in the questionnaire. We receive what you write in it:
Only the date, time and place of birth are essential. Everything else is optional — you may leave a field blank, and the reading will simply be less closely fitted to your family's day-to-day.
When you browse the site. We use no audience measurement tool whatsoever: no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no third-party tracker. Three technical points are nonetheless worth stating:
When you write to us. We keep your message and your email address for as long as it takes to reply and deal with your request.
We take no automated decision producing legal effects concerning you. The document is a symbolic reading, not an assessment.
The reading concerns the personal data of a minor, sent to us by you. In ordering, you declare that you hold parental authority over that child, or have the agreement of the person who does.
That data is used solely to calculate their birth chart and write their document. It is never used for anything else: no profiling, no resale, no reuse for another customer, no publication — not even anonymised — without your explicit written agreement.
The reading extracts published on the site come from real documents that have been anonymised and published with the agreement of the people concerned.
This section is not for our customers. It is for you, whose birth data someone else gave us. We have no way of reaching you — and we have chosen not to give ourselves one: asking for your email address so we could tell you we hold information about you would mean collecting one more piece of data about someone who asked for nothing. So we write it here, on a page you can find on your own.
If you are an adult and someone ordered a synastry — the cross-reading of two charts — here is exactly what we hold: your first name, your date, time and place of birth. Nothing else. No surname, no address, no phone, no email. It is used to calculate a birth chart and write a document, and then it is erased as soon as that document is delivered. Whoever orders declares to us that they have your agreement. We do not verify it — like an astrologer in a consultation, who works with the information they're given: it's that declaration that commits them, not us. What we do guarantee is what we don't take: no surname, no address, no phone, no email. Your date, time and place of birth are erased as soon as it is delivered.
If you are a child, the situation is different, and that should be said. Your parent is the one ordering, and they exercise your rights while you are a minor: they receive all the information on this page, and the document is written for them, to help them raise you. The day you are old enough to read it, it is yours too — that is in fact the point. Your data is kept for 12 months, because your parent may need us to send the document again.
What you can ask for, at any time: to know what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it erased. One place only: hello@astroluma.app. It is free, we answer within 30 days, and you need not justify anything.
The questionnaire has free-text fields. Do not enter health information there — a diagnosis, a disorder, a treatment, medical or psychological care — nor information about anyone's religious beliefs or ethnic origin. We do not need it: our document is neither medical nor educational, and astrology has nothing to say about it.
If you nonetheless choose to mention it, we treat it as voluntarily entrusted to us for the sole purpose of writing the reading (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR, explicit consent), and we erase it along with the rest of the questionnaire. You can ask us to delete it immediately.
The reading is written by one person: Camille. No team, no editorial subcontractor. Apart from her, only the following technical providers are involved:
We do not sell, rent or trade any data. No data is passed to an advertiser, a data broker or a social network.
AstroLuma is established in Mexico, and several of its providers are established in the United States. If you live in the European Union, your data therefore leaves the European Economic Area.
These transfers rest on two grounds: they are necessary for the performance of the contract you enter into with us (Article 49(1)(b) GDPR) — we could not otherwise write your reading from Mexico — and our technical providers are bound by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
You can ask for your questionnaire and your child's data to be erased before that period, at any time, once the reading has been received. We do so within 30 days and confirm it by email. Only the accounting records are kept, because the law requires it.
The site is served over HTTPS, payment is encrypted end to end by Stripe, and the AstroLuma mailbox is protected by a unique password and two-factor authentication.
But we must be honest on one point: today the questionnaire reaches us as an email sent from your own mail program. An ordinary email is not encrypted end to end, and passes through your provider and ours. This is how any message is normally sent, but you should know it before writing: do not entrust anything to it that you would not put in a normal email. A direct submission form, bypassing your mail program, is in preparation.
At any time you can ask us for:
One place for all of it: hello@astroluma.app. We reply within 30 days at the latest, and usually well before. It is free.
If our reply does not satisfy you, you can refer the matter to a supervisory authority: in the European Union, the data protection authority of your country — in Mexico, the national authority competent for personal data protection; if you live elsewhere, the data protection authority of your country of residence.
The AstroLuma site sets no cookies at all: no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no social network cookie. That is also why you see no consent banner on it — there is nothing to consent to.
One exception, off our site: Stripe's payment pages set their own cookies, needed for the security of the transaction. They are covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
Our readings are for adults. You must be of legal age to order. A child may of course read the document about them — that is even the point, later on — but they cannot buy it.
This policy will change as the service does — in particular when the questionnaire moves to an encrypted form, or when new readings are offered. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. If a change concerns you directly and we have your email address, we will tell you.
A question, a doubt, an erasure request: hello@astroluma.app. A real person reads, and answers.
