The chart's sensitive points
A planet moves fast; a point, by contrast, is calculated for the exact instant you were born — the hour and place matter here more than anywhere else. The Ascendant, the Midheaven, the Nodes, Chiron, Lilith: eight markers, each with its own page, and the article already written when it exists.
The Ascendant
The Ascendant is the degree that was rising in the east at the exact minute of your birth: four minutes later it is already not quite the same one. It says the manner of arriving — the bearing, the first tone, what gets credited to somebody before they have opened their mouth. And the mask sticks: the entrance people ask for is the one you end up playing, and the rest waits outside. What that covers, a whole reading unfolds, not a line.
The Midheaven
The Midheaven is the highest point the zodiac reaches over the hour and the place of your birth: what is seen from far off. It says the public direction — the work, the trace left, what you care about enough to put your name on. Height exposes: you climb toward a place and find at the top that other people had chosen it. Where it climbs in you, the chart as a whole draws.
The Descendant
The Descendant is the point exactly opposite the Ascendant: what sets in the west while the other rises. It says what gets looked for opposite — the quality you admire in somebody else, the one you have not yet recognized in yourself. The face-to-face turns around: somebody gets asked to carry what you refuse to carry, and then held to blame for it. Who it names in you, only your chart as a whole says.
The Imum Coeli
The Imum Coeli is the lowest point, under your feet at the hour of your birth, opposite the Midheaven: what is not visible from the street. It says where you come from — the childhood house, what a family passes on without ever putting it into words, the place where you genuinely settle. The bottom also pulls downward: back you go looking for a permission nobody thought to give. What was laid down there in you, the whole chart tells.
The North Node
The North Node is not a body: it is the point where the Moon's road crosses the Sun's on the way up. What gets filed there is what has not been acquired — the direction that asks for effort, the one that grows you and gives the feeling of moving. And it is uncomfortable on purpose: nobody is good at it first time, so back they go toward what they can already do. Where it points in you, the whole chart says.
The South Node
The South Node is the opposite point, where the Moon's road comes back down: it marks the acquired, the talent you have without having worked it, the reflex that has been saving the day forever. It is safe shelter, and a skill available on the spot. The comfort turns around: back you go the moment things get hard elsewhere, and the talent serves as the excuse not to move. What to keep of it, the crossing is what settles.
Chiron
Chiron is a small body traveling between Saturn and Uranus: it marks the tender spot, the one where something was missing early and where you recognize the same thing in somebody else within a second. It gives a rare accuracy for helping exactly where you were hurt. The care gets paid for on your side: what you do not grant yourself is what you tend in other people, and the room for you runs out. Where it is tender in you, your whole chart places.
Lilith
Lilith is not even a body: it is the second focus of the Moon's ellipse, the one no body occupies. What is read there is the part that does not negotiate — what refuses to be arranged, softened, made presentable, and that no reward buys. That refusal has its reverse: losing everything beats putting a request into words, and the silence becomes a weapon. What it defends in you, the rest of the chart lights up.
A point means nothing outside its house.
The Ascendant opens house I, the Midheaven house X: every sensitive point already is a house — all twelve are detailed here.
